Before joining Babbitt, Johnson, Osborne & Le Clainche, Rebecca L. Larson was Robert M. Montgomery's partner in the firm of Montgomery & Larson. She practiced with powerhouse trial attorney Robert M. Montgomery for over two decades. Her prior firm was responsible for obtaining the landmark verdict against the tobacco industry for the State of Florida as well as winning countless multimillion dollar verdicts and settlements in favor of victims of negligence.
Before practicing with Montgomery, Ms. Larson was law clerk for the late, Honorable Norman C. Roettger, Jr., Federal Judge-Southern District of Florida. Rebecca Larson received her Juris Doctorate, Magna Cum Laude, from Mercer University, where she graduated first in her class and was named “Outstanding Graduate” in 1986. She further distinguished herself in law school by serving as a member of the editorial board for the Mercer Law Review. Ms. Larson received her undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa where she was Phi Beta Kappa.

She has been included in Florida Super Lawyers which is limited to no more than 5 percent of the state’s lawyers.
Most of the cases Rebecca Larson handles involve personal injury, medical malpractice and wrongful death claims, although she is also skilled in complex commercial litigation. Ms. Larson takes special pleasure in representing children and the elderly. For example, she has been successful in representation of babies who have been brain damaged during labor and delivery. These positive results have allowed these children to have the best quality of life possible following the tragic circumstances surrounding their births.

Ms. Larson is also especially proud of winning a $24 million verdict against the manufacturer of a handgun that was used to shoot and kill Barry Grunow, a middle school teacher. That verdict, which was truly a first, caused a trend toward safer gun designs which will clearly save lives.
