Theodore Babbitt Makes 2014 Florida Super Lawyer List

Babbitt & Johnson P.A. founder, Theodore Babbitt was named 2014 Florida Personal Injury Super Lawyer and his story was featured in the Super Lawyer Magazine

WEST PALM BEACH, FL. July 2014 – Theodore Babbitt Esq. of Babbitt & Johnson P.A. made the 2014 Super Lawyer list for Personal Injury Products: Plaintiff category. Mr. Babbitt was also featured in a 2014 Super Lawyers Magazine article titled: “How Theodore Babbitt Turned His Life Around” that highlights his diverse life and dynamic career.

Super Lawyers are selected in part by peer nomination and evaluation as a way to rate and recognize the service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas. Previously awarded Florida Super Lawyer in 2006, Theodore Babbitt is honored to be recognized for the personal injury products-plaintiff work he does and to have his life featured in a three page magazine article.

The article looks at the dynamic life of Theodore Babbitt; a self-described over achiever starting with his days as a wayward teen, to graduating 5th in his class from law school to winning his first $1 million dollar Florida medical malpractice case at the age of 31 when people did not sue their doctors or take medical malpractice cases.

“I have always responded to a challenge”, says Babbitt. “I have sued every major corporation and every insurance company. I’m not worried about provoking an opponent when I fight for my client.” Theodore Babbitt has a reputation for hard work and thorough preparation for everything he does. His drive to take risky cases and determination to win them earned Mr. Babbitt admission into the Inner Circle of Advocates as possibly the youngest member ever elected.

The article points out that Mr. Babbitt’s first experience in a courtroom was as a defendant in juvenile court. “I was hanging around with a rough crowd and got in trouble,” states Babbitt. When it came time for sentencing, the judge told him he could choose detention or the Marines. He chose the Marines and served 6 months boot camp at Parris Island, South Carolina then six years in the reserves. “Joining the Marines was the best thing to happen to me because it made me realize if I was to amount to anything other than grunt status, I needed to get an education.”

At 72, Theodore Babbitt is still going strong both, professionally as well as personally. He still advocates for disadvantaged clients, takes on major corporations and industry, and volunteers for charities such as Pilots N Paws. He shows no signs of backing away from insurmountable challenges and still maintains an impressive track record both in and out of the courtroom.
