Screen Shot 2015-03-09 at 11.25.26 AMCBS5 interviewed Theodore “Ted” Babbitt, founder and partner of West Palm Beach law firm Babbitt & Johnson on the recent class action lawsuit against Lumber Liquidators.

“Our class action lawsuit asks for damages to tear this wood out and replace it,” attorney Theodore Babbitt said.

Babbitt said in the interview that formaldehyde standards are controlled by a CARB standard: California Air Resources Board.

“You cannot claim that it is CARB approved when it is not, and that’s exactly what Lumber Liquidators is doing,” Babbitt explained to the reporter. “There are 6-20 times too high a level in the wood being sold claiming it’s safe under the CARB standards when in fact it’s not.”
