Ted Babbitt was awarded by Florida’s Children First with the 2022 Outstanding Champion for Children award at their annual fundraising event for Palm Beach County’s outstanding child advocates.

Florida’s Children First, founded by child advocate attorneys, is an award-winning non-profit that advocates for positive changes in the foster care system. They work to improve the government and private systems that exist to serve children in the following ways: Executive Branch Advocacy, Legal Advocacy, Legislative Advocacy, Procedural Rule Advocacy, Support for Former Foster Youth, Training and Support of Attorneys.

Ted Babbitt is on the board of directors of Florida’s Children First and has been a child advocacy attorney for decades. His firm was involved in the foster care class action, Bonnie L. v. Bush, which challenged the conditions in the Florida child welfare system.
